Financial Controller/Manager

Job Summary:
Our client are seeking an experienced Financial Controller/Manager to oversee their finance department’s operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing accurate financial reports to aid in strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all day-to-day accounting operations.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Stock Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and provide detailed reporting on divisional results.
- Conduct month, quarter, and year-end balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review and post journals at month-end and handle ad hoc tasks.
- Generate annual and monthly reports to identify results, trends, and forecasts.
- Ensure accurate recording, filing, and reporting of all transactions.
- Ensure compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations.
- Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls.
- Streamline and improve operations and accounting systems.
- Coordinate cash flow management, debt, and debt collection activities.
- Supervise and manage financial department staff.
- Oversee the audit process and liaise with external personnel as required.
- Collaborate with key department heads to aid in accurate management reporting.
- Assist the CFO in presenting reports to board members, senior executives, and stakeholders.
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller/Manager.
- Minimum of 5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience in preparing financial statements and management accounts.
- Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
- Experience in stock control and inventory management preferred.

- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
