Our client is a growing Law firm specialising in housing litigation, representing tenants living in sub-standard accommodation, swiftly bringing landlords and associations to account.  With an increase in client instructions due to their success and strong track record, this growth comes an opportunity for experienced Solicitors & Fee Earners with solid litigation experience within Housing Condition matters.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Managing a team of Paralegal and Fee Earners in pre and post litigation housing condition claims
  • Coach and guide team members to achieve their targets and goals.
  • Ensure that workloads are prioritised and allocated to team members effectively.
  • Conducting 1-2-1 meetings to discuss individual development, encourage growth and looking after wellbeing
  • Monitor and track KPIs, conducting reviews of performance vs target. Reporting into Operations Management including overall team performance.
  • You will also run your own caseload of HDR matters with the assistance of your team.
  • Inspire, tutor and develop your team in customer excellent and strategic legal action.
  • Monitor compliance and checking of team files to ensure regulator and company policies are always followed.

 

The Successful Candidate:

  • You will possess a minimum of 2 years civil litigation experience
  • You will have a minimum of 6 months experience within Housing Disrepair claims
  • You will have a minimum of 12-month Team Management experience
  • Confident and skilful negotiation skills.
  • Decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time-management skills.
  • Honesty and integrity.
  • Computer literate and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and Proclaim.
