CS&A Engineers

The City Recruiter, on behalf of our esteemed client, are looking for Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CS&A) Engineers at all levels including Principal. Our client is the UK’s leading supplier to the nuclear industry and a growing global force, offering unparalleled experience and specialised knowledge across all aspects of the nuclear life cycle.

 

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting various sectors, including nuclear decommissioning, power generation, new construction, and defence. Your work will contribute to the advancement and prosperity of the UK’s nuclear and defence sectors while addressing the nation’s energy needs and infrastructure development.

 

Hybrid Working:

 

Our client’s offices are located in either Cumbria, Warrington or Bristol. We understand the importance of work-life balance. This role is offered on a hybrid basis, allowing you to spend 3 days working in our client’s well-equipped offices and the other days working from the comfort of your home.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering nuclear design work, inspections, and construction site support on projects for a range of public and private sector clients within the UK and overseas. Work encompasses the full life cycle of a project.
  • Conducting concept and feasibility studies for multi-discipline design projects.
  • Performing analysis and design using engineering software such as Tekla and Robot, as well as producing hand calculations.
  • Preparing calculations, CDM activities, basis of design, material specifications, scopes of work, technical reports, inter-discipline design coordination, and supervision.
  • Collaborating with technicians in the preparation of Revit models.
  • Working with integrated multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-profile projects.
  • Providing technical support to other team members.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out with a positive attitude toward safety, both in design and in the office environment.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (BEng or MEng).
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with membership of ICE or IStructE, or working toward full membership of ICE or IStructE.

Experience Required:

  • Experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork.
  • Awareness and experience in using the latest design codes and standards.
  • Understanding of relevant legal and regulatory standards.
