Title: Commercial Property Solicitor 5+ years PQE

Term: Full Time, Permanent

Reporting to: Head of Commercial Property

Salary: Salary dependant on experience

Location: Congleton / Macclesfield office.

Purpose of the job

• To initiate, process and complete the full scope of commercial property fee-earning work for client files including sales and purchases, landlord and tenant matters, bank funding and pension purchases. 
• Candidates must have enough experience to complete this process unsupervised and to high standards.
• Assist in the successful development of the firm’s reputation, reach and ability.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Conduct matters on behalf of clients accurately, reliably and in accordance with the firm’s quality and risk management procedures (Lexcel and SRA Code of conduct).
• Generating fee income, ensuring proper control of time recording, work in progress, billing and cash collection 
• Take an active part in networking and BD opportunities on behalf of the department and firm.
• Participation in marketing activities for the firm and department
• Attend clients both in person and on the telephone and to provide such support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firm’s standards for client care.
• Manage the preparation of correspondence and documents through the case management system.
• Attendance and participation at group meetings.
• Be effective in developing relationships and winning work for yourself and colleagues.
• Maintain and nurture an appropriate network of contacts and referrers and endeavour to promote the firm at every opportunity
• Conduct good IT and telephone skills in line with the firms policies, such as the ability to use the case management system and other standard applications, recording time, using email.
