The City Recruiter is working with a leading player in the steel processing and stockholding industry to find a talented Account Manager to join their dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced sales professional who knows the steel industry inside and out and is ready to manage relationships remotely with the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Client Management: Maintain and grow long-standing relationships with key accounts in the steel processing industry. You’ll be their go-to person for all needs, ensuring the highest standards of service and satisfaction.
  • Sales Growth: Proactively identify new business opportunities and ensure existing accounts are consistently growing. Your ability to develop relationships and your steel industry expertise will allow you to stand out.
  • Collaborative Work: Though you’ll be working remotely, you won’t be on your own. Collaborate with the internal teams and management to deliver the best solutions to your clients.
  • Product Knowledge: Use your industry experience to advise clients on the best products and solutions for their needs, promoting both current offerings and new product lines.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Steel Industry Expertise: This is a must-have. We’re looking for candidates with hands-on experience in steel processing or stockholding. Your deep knowledge of this space is critical.
  • Sales Excellence: A proven track record in sales, account management, or business development in the steel industry. You should be confident handling everything from nurturing existing accounts to closing new deals.
  • Remote Work Skills: Highly self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working autonomously. You’ll be responsible for managing your own schedule and maintaining productivity remotely.
  • Exceptional Communication: Strong communication skills, particularly in telesales and written correspondence. You know how to engage clients, resolve issues, and build lasting relationships from a distance.
