Company Information
My client is a medium size, multi-disciplinary claimant law firm in Manchester City Centre headed up by a busy Managing Partner who is seeking an experienced and skilled PA to work alongside him in keeping his day-to-day movements and activities on track and organised. The Practice focusses on, Housing Disrepair, Personal Injury, Clinical and Dental Negligence, Financial Mis-selling, Data Breach, Civil Disputes, Professional Negligence, Commercial Property, Business Interruption Claims, Immigration and Private Client.
Job Purpose
- Always acting as an ambassador for the Managing Partner, carrying out all secretarial/PA duties in a discreet, diplomatic and professional manner
- Manage and organise Managing Partners e-mail Inbox
- Diary management – full control and maintenance of his diary, making appointments and arrangements for all meetings with clients and colleagues
- Meeting preparation – creating agendas/gathering relevant information
- Meeting preparation with service providers and stakeholders
- Telecommunications handling – proactively intercepting incoming telephone calls and communications
- Making full and accurate notes of all conversations/ telephone messages and ensure that they are actioned and/or delivered efficiently.
- Responding and advising where necessary.
- Communication with internal management to ensure efficient instruction delivery
- Copy typing letters, memos, minutes, schedules
Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience as a PA/Legal Secretary in a demanding administrative role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisation and coordination skills.
- Ability to work with maximum adaptability to changing priorities and prioritise workload.
- Experience of managing a high volume of work
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work proactively, unsupervised and use own initiative.
- Experience of developing relationships with key stakeholders from a wide variety of organisations and backgrounds
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Personable, a positive character and able to anticipate and exceed expectations
- Experience of handling Partner level delegation

- Extensive diary management experience
