Our client is a thriving multi-disciplinary law firm based in Manchester city centre who have been navigating strong growth especially over the last couple of years growing from 50 – 200 staff across multiple practice areas. The firm has a strong source of work within Commercial Litigation and requiring a capable, experienced Solicitor to join their growing Litigation team.
Job Purpose
Our Financial Mis-selling team has a requirement for a strong Litigation Solicitor to join their busy and growing department. You will be handling a caseload of Financial Mis-selling claims therefore professionalism, excellent customer service and FMS claims process knowledge will be expected. The successful candidate will provide a reliable and efficient support and advice service for clients and assist with general group claims.
- Taking client instructions and advising on legal and procedural issues in an effort to progress files and the litigation as a whole.
- Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation files, to include financial mis-selling claims
- Conduct complete research and analysis of case law to support legal arguments.
- Prepare accurate and well-crafted legal documents and correspondence.
- Gathering the necessary evidence and data required to bring valid claims in large volumes.
- Supervising and delegating work to junior members of the team as appropriate.
- Negotiate settlements and engage in dispute resolution on behalf of clients.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Provide guidance and support to junior fee earners when needed.
- Contributing original ideas and concepts to improve the department and grow the business.
Skills & Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor with 1 – 3+ PQE
- Experience running own caseload of client immigration matters, including visas, work permits, asylum seekers, business immigration, and beyond.
- Able to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
- Meticulous, with good organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
- Compassionate and empathetic with a drive to help people.
- Works well independently and with a team.
